A beautiful outdoor ambience, whether for yourself or for your neighbors, friends and guests, adds value to your home.

I have a deck out back and when I first moved into my current home, I placed deck lights underneath the bench seats for a wonderful nighttime glow. I further added the same deck lights under the eaves of the roof. Beautiful!

Impressed with my work, I went and bought staked landscaped lights and plenty of wire. I wove the wire around the bushes and trees. I lined the path. I literally sculptured my yard.

Next, I placed the lights, some tiered, some spotlight, along the low-wattage wire in areas I wanted the lighting.

Everything was set on a timer so at dusk, the backyard came to life, again. Sitting on the deck after dark, listening to the frogs in the pond and viewing the lighted beauty of the yard, was very relaxing!

Landscape lighting is available in many price ranges, but putting some quality lighting around your yard will definitely make your property more valuable.
