Buying a lawn mower is a necessity for most people and you should shop for one that meets your particular need.

The first lawnmower I owned as a adult was a Sears ride-on mower. Being female, I wanted something less exhausting because, while my husband was at work, and too tired to cut the grass and/or not interested in cutting the grass on the week-ends, I took on that job. Besides, I was a "stay at home" housewife and mother, so he thought I had "more time" (LOL).

That was years ago!

Later, I had a backyard that sloped down to a lake. I was uneasy riding a mower that I feared would tip over, so I opted for a push mower. But it was hard to maneuver and hard to start.  As I got older, pulling the rope starter was tough on my shoulder.

Today, I have a battery operated electric lawnmower which I dearly love. No more backaches. My mower is already over 7 years old and going strong. Take the battery out of the battery compartment and plug it in overnight… the next day it’s ready to cut my grass! It has a grass catcher and an optional edger.

Plus, my battery operated electric lawnmower has an adjustable height lever that’s really easy to move up and down. It’s quiet. It’s easy to start… just push a button.
