Get Lounge Chairs
|
I have a simple fold-up outdoor aluminum patio chaise lounge that I use in the summer to work on my tan. There was a time that I would just lay a blanket down to get my suntan, but a lounger chair on my deck is SO much more comfortable!
In the off-season when the weather is cooler, I store the patio lounge chair in my garden shed!
I believe every patio or deck should have lounge chairs of some sort. The adjustable feature of laying the back up or down in various positions allows the user to be flat (sunbathing) or upright for reading, watching swimmers, or socializing, etc.
The most popular lounge chairs are woven, slatted, or cushioned.
Some loungers have wheels at the "head" sections for easily moving around the deck or patio. And, some outdoor lounge chairs have arm rests; but side arms make it harder to turn over when a person is sunbathing.
The fold-up aluminum garden chaise lounges are very lightweight and portable enough to throw into the trunk of the car and take to the beach. You can put them anywhere in the yard where you want to relax.
The cedar or redwood patio lounge chairs, however, are more sturdy and permanent; mostly a staple furniture item in the backyard landscape.
Loungers are a must for every backyard… call them what you will: deck loungers, patio loungers, lawn loungers, porch loungers, poolside loungers… they’re all basically designed to do the same thing.
A chaise lounger is for "lounging"
Below are a few I think stand out among the crowd:
