My neighbor (in the video) has his park bench facing his flower garden and I caught him one day working in the yard so asked to take a short clip. He’s waving at you!
Whether you set a park bench around a walkway or around a flower bed, they will always be appreciated by someone who wants to rest and enjoy the outdoors!
I‘m sure everyone has experienced sitting down on a park bench somewhere and watching the squirrels chasing each other; or leaves blowing in the breeze. A park bench in your back yard can be set under a tree or in the middle of a flower garden.
Park benches come curved with no backs, can wrap around a tree base, with arm rests or no arm rests, or standard… with slatted back and seat.
The style of bench is determined by the construction materials used to build the park bench.
Wrought iron park benches are classic and stylish, while iron and wooden benches are charming and unique.
Some people prefer the natural and rustic look that a wooden park bench has to offer.
The ever classic metal park benches are durable and bring back memories of years gone by.
At one time, I had a classic park bench in the front of my home. (Somewhere I have a photo of my four young children sitting on it.)
Park benches are meant to last for years. Wooden components are made from hard and durable woods such as pine or teak and protected by long-wearing lacquers. Hard lacquer sealant protects the wood from moisture and sun damage which will allow a bench to last many years without warping, splintering, or rotting.
For steel and iron benches, a powder-coat finish is applied which gives the park bench a lovely glossy finish. It is soft and smooth to the touch and offers a rust-resistant coating as well.
