Adirondack Lawn and Patio Furniture for the Backyard
Ahhh… sit in comfort in Adirondack style furniture!
Lovely to look at, as well as classic traditional, Adirondack furniture pieces are created as chairs, loveseats, ottomans, rockers, swings, tables, etc. – match your whole yard in Adirondack.
Adirondack style chairs are available in multi colors made of recycled plastic, resin, polywood, and several different wood materials and hardwoods.
As a child, I well remember neighbors along the Severn River in Annapolis, MD. having Adirondack furniture in their yards and boat docks. Sitting there watching the sailboats skim along the water was always a treat.
I was always amazed, however, at how the chair slanted down in the back and, as a small child, it was often difficult for me to scoot myself up and out of it.
But, the Adirondack chairs were then, and still are, very comfortable and stylish, which is why they have endured popularity for generations.
The original Aridondack chair design was created by Thomas Lee in Westport, New York in 1903, and later patented by Harry Bunnell as the "Westport chair."
Adirondack chairs are becoming more and more popular as outdoor seating because the flat armrests are suitable for setting food and beverages on while socializing.
Adirondack chairs are further complimented with optional sloping ottomans which converts a regular chair into a "lounge" chair. So, it’s nice to stretch out in!
Harsh weather on the ocean shores, as well as unkind winter weather, salt water and chlorinated water are no match for Adirondack furniture.
Decorate your outdoor living area with Adirondack and you’ll be set for years!
